Friends Are Afraid

Looking back on my opinion editorial, I am happy with what I had to share in my final piece. So far, I've received some input from the people that have read my editorial and the responses have been overwhelmingly positive, although, this may be due to relations I have with these people; most of them know me personally, many share my same viewpoints, and many would probably be slow to criticize anything that I write because of their relationship to me.

I think that so far I've tailored the publishing of my editorial to an audience that already shares opinions that are similar to my own. In the future I would like to present this article to an audience that isn't so familiar with the arguments I've posed in my piece. After all, that's what my intended audience was when I wrote that editorial. I've learned that pieces of writing only catalyze new thought when written to the proper audience, and then shared with that particular audience; presenting an article to the proper audience can be just as important as writing to the proper audience.
