Issues paper

My topic is Wind Turbines and I've narrowed to the potential benefits and problems that could be associated with them. I've found very good information in the HBL website especially the opposing views section. Since this is a very polarized issue opposing viewpoints are valuable. I haven't decided what my argument is regarding wind turbines I have always been all for them, but I've been discovering a lot of economic disadvantages to them in my research. Some potential argument for pro-wind turbines include, they are better for the environment (I personally still don't know if I believe in man made global warming, but I do believe that it isn't good for the planet to release all of the pollutants that we do), they are a renewable source of energy, they would lessen our addiction to foreign oil (some of the money we spend on oil so it ends up in the hands of terrorists). Some arguments against wind turbines are, they aren't economically feasible if the government spends money on them it only increases peoples taxes and electric bill, and they kill birds.
