Deaf Schools in the US

My topic is about deaf schools and their capabilities on helping their students be able to grow in a hearing world after graduation. The major issues in my topic is the fact that some of the deaf schools in the US are being closed because of budget cuts. My argument is kairotic because there has been a lot of debate around the subject of the deaf school's closing and I think that if I can prove that the capabilities of the deaf schools truly help those who are deaf then the school's might not shut down. I will also be comparing the school's in the US to those in possibly the UK but I have not been able to find very much information on that front yet.
The three types of arguments that I am going to use are: definition by class or category, statistics, and cause and effect.
I think that the definition of exactly what a successful deaf school is would be very helpful so that people can be aware that they are very successful which would be backed up by my statistics and then I would use cause and effect to show how the closing of some of the deaf school's has been traumatic for the kids and how the kids who have been able to continue through the deaf school programs have been able to excel.
