Depression in Teenage Girls

The topic for my paper is going to be on how the media affects depression in teenage girls. I had original just wanted to do a paper on the affects of the media on teenage girls, but that was to big of a subject. I would like to take the stance that the media has a very negative affect on how girls view themselves and then puts them at higher risk for depression. I am still doing research so I haven't come up with all of the arguments yet, because I haven't had a lot of time to do research, but I would love to look at if the affect that the media has in America is different then in another country, like England. I just feel like this could be fascinating if I really do the research right.
