Tools in Wal-Martian

For how much I disagree with a lot of the things stated by Enrenreich, I have to admit that she does a really good job using tools in her article.
The first big one that she uses is Analogy. She does this by trying to paint the picture of how big the Wal-Mart cooperation is. She compares it size to General Motors and it's wealth to Switzerland. This really works well for her because she is really trying to set up how big Wal-Mart is and how it is going to "take over the world."
The next tool I found is Overstatement. She uses this tool when she starts to talk about how by the year 4004 every square inch of the US will be covered in Wal-Mart's. This is used great, because even though it is an overstatement and not ever going to happen, it really gets the point across on how much Wal-Mart is growing.
The last tool that I would like to point out that she uses is personification. She does this by calling Wal-Mart alien's. By doing this is paints a whole new picture of Wal-Mart in your head. Gone are the happy smiling face, and here comes the green alien's from another planet to take over your world. Good use.
