Wal-Martian Invasion

With this article being fairly recent, the points and ideas that Ehrenreich expresses are specific and effective. She approaches the  issue with what seems like some sort of agreement with Wal-Mart.  She talks about how many employees it has and it worth, saying that all that it is. However, she quickly turns her argument against Wal-Mart and its employees. There unfair treatment, such as lowly hourly wages of $7 and little if any insurance. Ehrenreich takes her argument and convinces the audience of what she believes. She supports her argument with reasons and facts to convince what she is saying about the super store. Ehrenreich brings globalization to the argument, explaining how Wal-Mart is destroying the people. What every one thought was a good company, however is no giving people enough pay and benefits for what they are worth. She then compares it to Costco, a similar store, and how much better they benefit their employees. That Costco as an organization is doing a better job. She is able to convincingly get her point across and do it in a tasteful way. She attacks Wal-Mart yet is able to do so in a civil and respectful way.
