Wall-Martian Invasion

Barbara Ehrenreich, an American feminist and democratic socialist, published the article Wall-Martian Invasion July 27, 2004 for the Baltimore sun in Baltimore, Maryland. After doing some research on whom she is and what she does, it is clear that her personality affects her writings. She is social critic and professional journalist. She wrote many different articles for many different papers including Wal-Mart licks the wounds and welcome to cancer land. Being that she is an activist, she has a tendency to attack certain people or individuals unwillingly. As you read the next line, notice how her voice and sarcasm bleeds off the page; Talking about how Wal-Mart is not paying their employees enough she said, “Apparently the Wal-Martians, before landing, failed to check on the biological requirements for human life.” (article Wall-Martians) in this article, she not only expresses her voice through sarcastic comments but she also uses legitimate statistics to support her clams; Both of which worked very well hand in hand.
