After doing research on Barbara Ehrenreich's history and her other literary works, I clearly see how it has affected her writing. She has done a lot of work on lower end jobs, she even went undercover at one point so she could get first hand experience and could make her writing more effective to her audience.
She is an activist so she is always fighting for justice for the people who deserve it. In her article Wal-Martian Invasion, she explains how Wal-Mart mistreats its workers. She also got a PhD in a science so she took a very scientific approch to her article. She talks about how Wal-Mart employs over 600,000 people. She also calculates that by the year 4004, the entire United States will be covered in super centers if they continue growing at the same rate as they are now.
