7-d Walmart Invasion

The author of this article is an American feminist and democratic socialist by the name of Barbara Ehrenreich. "Walmart Invasion" was published in July 27, 2004 by the Baltimore Sun newspaper, which is geared towards the informance of the American people. Barbara Ehrenreich is a well known Sociologist and political activist, and is also a very popular columnist and essayist. The arguments displayed within the article are at first more about how how Walmart plans on consuming all the land in America. She makes her contempt for Walmart known by referring to them as martians and aliens. She informs the people about the near "sweat shop" conditions that the employees have to go through and all for poor wages. The audience of this article is the American people and the author wants to exploit Walmart for all of it's corruption and have people realize they should not shop at walmart.
